News from the
Dominican Republic
We have got awesome news from our partners in the Dominican Republic about church plants. Pastor Aby Prado and his family have been hard at work following the leadership of the Holy Spirit. We received an e-mail from Aby this week telling about 7 church plants with a total of between 690 and 855 attending. The seven churches are located in the following villages.
Village Pastor Attendance
· Juan Dolio. Pastor Natan 100-120
· Monte Largo Pastor Manny 60-80
· Los Montones Pastor Aby 125-150
· Los Fundos Pastor Natan 50-80
· Honduras Co-Pastor Antonio 80-100
· El Peñon Pastor Maximo 75-100
· Villa España Pastor Aby 200-225
This is awesome when you think about the pressure Voodoo priest have on the people in the Dominican Republic. Please put Pasto Prado and his family, wife Gladys, daughter Sophia, son Joel, and the other Pastors on your prayer list and lift them up each day to the LORD. The Devil and his demons will be out in force to put a stop to this great work.
Pastor Aby works with Score International and is our ground contact in the Dominican Republic. He has asked for our help with the following items along with a request for financial support for the Bible Institute and church planting actives.
· Ceiling Fans
· Pews for the churches. (We will try to have a short term mission trip to build the pews).
· Clothing for the disciples
· Video projector
· Generator
· Food for the Villagers. (You can feed a family of four for a week for only $15.00 dollars).
If you are able to help with any of these items please contact us in the Health and Wellness ministry office in the B building at First Baptist Church Woodstock or call Bob North at 678-794-0844, Wes LeCory 404-626-3970.
Matthew 9:37-38
37. Then He said to His disciples. “The harvest truly is plentiful, but the laborers are few.” 38. “Therefore pray the LORD of the harvest to send out more laborers into His harvest.”
