Hello prayer team:
It was a great week with many lives being changed and impacted. We saw growth of the team members during the week. We realized that baseball was not why we went.
Baseball was just a tool that was used to make a difference in our lives and those that we ministered to. SCORE International does a wonderful job on these trips with facilities,
translators, game schedules, transportation, housing, food, etc. The Gloves4God ministry had a busy week. We repaired approximately 157 gloves and gave away 46. The smiles
on the young men's faces when they get a repaired glove in priceless. Our team had a transition during the week. As playing baseball became less important. Ministering to the
Dominicans was more important than a game. Our Gloves4God slogan is " More than a game". This was very true this week. The opportunities to feed families, go to a village to
play games with children, and spend a couple hours at an orphanage were the most impactful times of the week. There were 187 people that filled out a card saying that they asked Jesus
to come into their hearts and be their Savior! WOW!!! Pray that they will get plugged in to a local church.
We need to continue to pray for the Dominicans and SCORE staff. Much work is left to do. I also pray that you will consider being part of our ongoing ministry in the Dominican Republic.
Thanks for all your prayers during our trip. We could not do this without you!
